2021 Youth Paddle Camp August 2nd – 5th, 1:00-4:00pm
This camp introduces kids to paddlesports on the Stillwater’s waterfront at Brownie’s Park in Orono. Designed for kids of approximately ages 5-10, the camp will focus on confidence, balance, propulsion, and steering in a variety of types of boats. Details of the camp will be available on the Orono Paddlers Facebook page, but will also be emailed to parents/guardians as part of the registration confirmation. Limit – 20 kids. 2021 Advanced Youth Paddle Camp August 9th – 12th, 1:00-4:00pm
This camp works with kids (roughly ages 7-11) who have already established some basic paddling skills. Monday’s session will take place entirely at Brownie’s Park. The drop off and pick up locations for the other three days will be local and chosen based upon the skills of the kids. The kids will experience a variety of types of paddling, on a variety of local pieces of water, always working to improve confidence, balance, propulsion, and steering.
